SSgt Joseph Ambrose serves as the President of Hearts on Standby, bringing his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the forefront of an organization built to support and strengthen Military families. As an active-duty Security Forces Defender, he understands firsthand the demands and sacrifices of military service—the long hours, high-pressure moments, and the weight carried quietly on both the mission and the homefront.

Driven by a deep passion for community and connection, SSgt Ambrose leads with integrity, humility, and a service-first mindset. His experience within the Defender community gives him a unique perspective on the challenges service members and their families face. He is a firm believer that readiness starts with strong, supported families, and that no service member should ever feel alone in their journey.

In his role as President, he oversees strategic direction, collaborates with base and community partners, and ensures Hearts on Standby remains a reliable, compassionate support system for families across the Military. His leadership reflects the very mission of the organization: to stand ready, uplift, and build a united, thriving community—one family at a time.

Above all, Joseph is a devoted husband and father whose personal commitment to his own family fuels his desire to ensure others have the support, encouragement, and sense of belonging they deserve.
