Our Founder

Celestina Ambrose is the founder of Hearts on Standby, a support initiative dedicated to empowering and uplifting military families. As a proud Air Force spouse and mother of three, Celestina has lived the unique challenges of military life—frequent moves, long deployments, and the quiet resilience required to hold families together in uncertain times.

Her vision for Hearts on Standby was shaped not only by her role as a Key Support Liaison for the 45th Security Forces Squadron, but also by her family’s personal journey. Her oldest daughter, Milah, was diagnosed with ASD Level 1 at age four, after years of navigating medical uncertainties, relocations, and the complex process of advocating for her needs. Walking through this journey taught Celestina the power of persistence, the importance of community, and the need for families to feel supported when facing both everyday stresses and extraordinary challenges.

Out of this experience, Hearts on Standby was born—a program designed to provide encouragement, resources, and connection for military spouses and families across all branches of service. Guided by the tagline, “Support that stands ready—just like you,” Celestina’s mission is to ensure that no family feels isolated or unseen.

Beyond her advocacy work, Celestina shares her story to raise awareness for special needs within the military community, helping other parents feel less alone in their own journeys. She also runs C’s Magical Moments, a small creative business where she paints banners that celebrate life’s milestones—a reflection of her belief that joy and togetherness should always be honored, even in the midst of hardship.

With compassion, resilience, and a deep sense of purpose, Celestina leads Hearts on Standby as both a military spouse and a mother, reminding families that while the challenges may be great, the strength found in community is greater.
